we were listening to shut the door keep out the devil, when my little sister said. "i think i know what the devil is, shall i tell you?" sure. "like robbers and stuff. . ." wouldn't that be nice. . .

makes me remember when i KNEW that pagans were the neighbors back the road,
o and anybody else who rode motorcycles and any other person that drove them were were evil too,
*we would hide from them,
*i dreamt about them,
*and knew that they were out to get us.
*they scared me. !
*i don't think anybody knows the fear that ran through me when i heard a motorcycle, i still remember that feeling, and it was terrible.
*they were pagans.
and now when i hear the word pagan, i think back to what i thought it makes me giggle every time.

o, and when the lady drove to church.
i knew they were sinners, because the man drives not the lady. . . .

ahh. talk about the blissful innocense of little kids. that and what the people around you think is wrong, out of proportion in your child-like faith. (if you can call it that) it's precious.

lol. wow your post brought back some interesting memories. you probably don't remember this, but you told me all about the "pagans" and "motorcycle men" and scared the crap out of me with your scary stories. lol.
well now we're "grownup" and know better and the world is a much better place than what it seemed like back then....gag.

um...yeah count me in on the motorcycle pagans thing. but i think it had more to do with the time i spent with your cousins than you.

ok. ok. sorry i scared you. but i'm dying of laughter! rosina is telling me, that yup, at the church picnic we had all the kids from church stirred up... i had forgotten about that. but it's pretty funny. come to think of it now, i don't think i even knew what the word pagan meant, except that it meant something bad. . .

hey lisa, just saw your link on sandra's site and thought i'd drop by and say hi! it's quite an amusing post, though yeah, i'm sure it was terrifying at the time. :P Little children have the most interesting, strange, and yet delightfully innocent notions sometimes.
just wishing you a great day!
