why aren't we reaching?

song i'm listening to right now. . .
It's crowded in worship
todayAs she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know
Chorus:
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way
A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back rowT
he weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ
Jesus is the way

my designing skills. . .?

man. i need to not think i'm smart. i worked on a blog template last night. and it actually almost looks nice. it's still off center. no profile. . . writing isn't where i wanted it. but hey . it actually kind of resembles what it is supposed to be. :) it made me happy. anyway. you can check it out if you want. http://www.zajona.blogspot.com/ if you have any tips of what i can do better... e-mail me.

there will be a new day

hair

caleb. his hair. was fun tonight. i have many worse pictures. but the threat that he might find worse pictures of me. . . o well who cares. he doesn't have anywhere to post them . .. ok i'll be nice. and go to bed before i do anything that i'll be sorry for the rest of my life. :)

introductions of gold and fish

alright. i'm finally getting around to introducing my dear little fish friends. . .
i had 3 fan-tailed goldfish. while i was on vacation last week one of my dear friends past on. i could not make it back in time for the flushing. so my dear hyphen was flushed without a ceremony. :( still surviving are gold and fish.

i must admit Gold does look a bit surprised to be a fish star. . . but hey. she is pretty cute not?

the the fish were named by anita king. 1. Gold (Maria likes to call her Goldie) 2. our dearly departed Hyphen (actually Merlin named Hyphen, maybe that's why he didn't make it) 3. Fish

i think i'm smart.

i was trying to figure out how have music on my site. . . just for fun. and i figured it out.! on my own! yippee! anyway. . . is my sister singing Jesus love me. with some giggles. she thought she was SO smart. so i guess that makes 2 of us :)

zapped. hair. music.

alright today. was crazy. i had fun. worked. took pictures. ate.
this evening my dad bought some bug zapper thing. and i thought that to zap a bug you had to be holding in the button. so i touched the wires (without holding the button) AAAAHHH! i got ZAPPED! you should have seen my jump around and hear me yell ( the the other hand maybe i'm glad you didn't)
then when caleb was playing the computer. i played with his hair. in case you didn't know caleb has awesome hair. it was hysterically funny! i did almost anything imaginable to his hair. ! i might have to post some pictures. . . .
maria was bouncing a ball with dad in the kitchen. she bounced them high . and would giggle like crazy. she has the most infectious giggle. . . she had me in stitches.
then we got a mic . and hooked it up to the computer. sang/talked to it. replayed it. spead it up. slowed it down it was uncontrollably hilarious. we sounded like the woodchucks.
tonight was random. tonight was good.

rain. rain. rain.

we needed the rain. and we have it. we've got lots of it.

this is a scarecrow that my grandpa made to scare off the fish birds.

he just looked lonely, cold, and sad. . . and i took a picture of him. . .

beautiful in His sight.

you know what annoys me? when i have something important to say. (well at least i think it is important) and nobody listens! o well. i guess that is what happens when you talk too much.

anyway. here is something . . .
the desire that God places in us. are to make us draw closer to God. the desire to know that someone thinks your attractive was placed in each of us by God. but it is what we do with it that counts. here is a verse i heard recently and i like alot.

Psalm 45:10,11
Now listen, daughter, don't miss a word: forget your country, put your home behind you.
Be here—the king is wild for you. Since he's your lord, adore him.
We are God's creation, yet He desires a relationship with each of us. the greatest that we can do on our own is as "filthy rags" in His sight. But yet, He loves us, desires us. That is beautiful.
make use of the desire that God placed in you--- grow CLOSER to GOD!

my week

ok. so. some pictures of my week.
we left around 10:30 monday morning. got to Faith Mission Home FMH around 4. picked up Lamar. then went up the mountain. . . to the cabin. didn't do much monday. me, caleb, lamar, lena, and maria went down to FMH after supper. the 3 oldest played volleyball. when we came back , eugene, rosie , and their two boys were there. we had snack . ..didn't do much more. .. .
Tuesday, was lamar's day off. we went to monticello. that's Thomas Jefferson's home.

it was fun. but the groups were HUGE. you could scarcely all fit in the room. the house was nice. the floor gardens could have used some help.

then we walked down to the gravesite of Thomas Jefferson.

and here is a tree on the monticello plantation. . . . proof that uh, well, a smaller tree can wrap around a larger tree. . . . :) ok. never mind me. ..
Then lamar's house parents from FMH brought supper up for us. after supper. lamar, caleb and me walked up to Skyline Dr. and we got to scare this poor dear. wait. deer. into the woods. then we coaxed it back out with some crazy noises. i got within 10 yards.

it was like a 2 mile hike uphile. so i was more than happy when i saw this sign. . .

but the view was well worth it!

and this picture does it absolutely NO justice. . .

alright . blogger isn't uploading my pictures right. so i might get some pictures later. . . .

i'm gonna go with rosina tonight. and i'm excited. . .

You Lift Me Up.

an old song by Rachel Lampa. . ..
Climbing on a cloud
Dancing on a day dream
I don't have a doubt
Just how good this life can be
You lift me up

Running in the rain
Singing in the sunshine
Telling all the world
Why I'm so in love with life
You lift me up

You lift me up
And I'm touching the blue sky
You lift me up
I'm on top of the world
I'm getting closer to heaven
In every little thing I love
You lift me up

Headed for the stars
Riding on a moon beam
Taking me so far
Farther than I've ever been
You lift me up

You lift me up
And I'm touching the blue sky
You lift me up
I'm on top of the world
I'm getting closer to heaven
In every little thing I love
You lift me up

i'm back

i'm back. . . my family was visiting Lamar down by Faith Mission Home. it is SO beautiful down in Virginia. when i came back home. i just wanted to go back.

life is really busy. (but why do i have time to be the computer?) :) bible school this week. . . wait. that didn't really apply to me. because i wasn't here. . . i'm supposed to be working. . . .:/

in case you wondered. i think it's fun running across fields in the dark. hoping you don't trip. crawling around in bushes. breaking into people's houses. knocking on doors then running away. it's a party. :)

A New Song

a poem i found.
A New Song
today i feel like i have no song.
as much as i long . . . i cannot sing.
i want to be happy, but i can't
not on my own.
i need to lean-
Lean on the arms of God..
i cry until i no longer can.
i give up my will. i cry "GOD!
i've taken all i can. God,
Forgive me. me and my foolish heart."
i tried so hard. thought i was smart.
help me God! I need a new song.
Give me your song. Teach me to sing.
to sing
YOUR SONG.

life is . . . well . . . life

ROSINA! good thing potpourri needed to be bagged, because then we had the excuse to sit and talk to each other. . . :) got home from work. ate. got ready for church. went to church. came home from church. talk to my parents, aunt, and uncle. sent them to bed. :) now i got the computer.

anyway. Chester Weaver from Texas. is sharing 4 sessions on the antibapists. who are the antibaptists? because i have antibaptists in my heritage. . .does that make me a antibapist? why are antibaptist different from "other christians" right now i have lots of questions. . . can i honestly say i'm an anitbaptist? ? ?

anyway, if i ever want to get a tourist in a twist when they ask me "are you amish?" or "are you amish or mennonite." i could say. "neither, i'm Swiss Brethren" ? ? :)

a quote for today. . .
“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” -Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

today

lately (this past week) i feel like i've done almost nothing. i'm not saying i didn't do anything. just landscaped, mowed, worked at the shop, cleaned house, babysat. believe it or not. i did absolutely nothing with the YG. i didn't do anything with any people my age. . .(except for family) so today. i wanted to do something. badly. so dasha, cynthia, josi, and me went to wolf rock. we got into some good talks (discussions?) :). i really enjoyed the afternoon. walking the creek, going through the woods. . . talking . . .talking. . . talking. hope you get the point. :)

here's my quote for today:
"If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there." –Lewis Carroll

meeting new people

ok. so i met a some new people last week. . . alright they aren't exactly new people. . . but they are new to me. =D anyway the name is alyssa. she's from texas. and i only got to be with her for alittle bit. but somehow we really hit it off. we met at our garage sale. she bought some of my dresses. we chatted for a while. i got her e-mail address. cell number. we got in contact a couple of times. she came with me to bible study. she's such a blessing.! she never stops amazing me! i love the way she is open to hearing what i think. . . and not afraid to say what she believes. i could talk to her for hours. she makes me think. thinking is good. sad thing though. she is gonna go home tomorrow. and i won't see her. but hopefully, in her search for colleges; she will return. o. another thing. her friends are coming up sometime next week. so i might get to meet them. hopefully.

ok alyssa. i know your gonna read this sometime. . . so will you introduce yourself? ;)

alright. that seems so random. seems my mind doesn't function correctly anymore. my thoughts get so scattered. . . what's wrong with me?

o. and let's not forget my quote for today. . . my own original.
"hey! you got a voice? why not talk to yourself?"
that's me justifying the fact that i talk to myself. :)

my sis.

ok. so my sister told me this evening "i hate sleeping with you." wait! so how’s that supposed to make me feel? so i asked her why. "o i don't know, i just wish i would like sleeping with you." sometimes my sister says some bizarre things. but you know. . . i still love her.

yesterday we were cleaning up the yard. and she told me. "Sometimes i feel SO strong, i think i can beat up Benji." and i was like . "could you beat up Benji?" her eyes got big, and she emphatically informed me that she couldn't. i couldn't help but smile.
